To lead one BLLC seminar this semester
I was able to successfully learn how to lead a senior graduation appointment. After observing many of those types of appointments, I began to practice myself. Throughout the Spring semester, I did several senior graduation appointments and felt very confident while doing so.

Throughout the entirety of the Spring semester, I became more and more confident in myself in leading academic advising appointments. I felt prepared for every type of appointment that was thrown my way.

Towards the second half of the Spring semester, walk-in appointments started. For four weeks, on Wednesday mornings, I did virtual walk-in advising appointments. Walk-ins can be challenging because advisors do not always know what the students need, so it tests how fast an advisor can act to give accurate information. I felt comfortable and confident during each of my virtual walk-in appointments.

Last semester, I was exposed to the retention element in the Walton College of Business. This semester, I continued my duty of writing retention newsletters to the Walton students on academic probation. I enjoyed having that opportunity to make an encouraging and helpful write-up for the students who may be struggling academically.

Throughout the semester, we hosted several BLLC seminars. I had the opportunity to continue to work with the freshmen students offering them anything I could offer. It was a pleasure meeting such strong and resilient students during their first year of college.

While I did not lead a BLLC seminar this semester, I had the opportunity to create the presentation over the topic of academic integrity for all Freshman Business Connections courses. I researched the University of Arkansas's academic integrity policy and resources for the students. My presentation was sent out to all sections of the FBC course and presented to the students. I enjoyed researching and creating an interactive presentation for the students. This will help me in my new job when I have to create presentations for the Freshmen Seminar courses I will be teaching.
